The King James Bible tells us, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” And Joel Osteen says, “You can either focus on your problems, or you can focus on your blessings.” What do you want more of?
So you can choose to be thankful 365 days of the year, even every hour of your day for the little things. For the little things add up and create the fullness in your heart!
If you want more good things then it’s important to be thankful with faith. To thank God ahead of time for the blessings He is going to bestow on you. When you pray you can choose to pray as though your wishes have already been fulfilled and be thankful for them and then the power behind your prayer will be more potent. It doesn’t mean you will get what you pray for every time, however being thankful is more powerful than just begging or wishing. It shows you have faith! And having faith is a form of thankfulness to God. It’s a form of appreciation.
Being thankful can open more doors then prayers without belief because when you are in a thankful spirit you feel gratitude and maintain a sense of belief that things are going to happen. That’s the power of thankfulness!
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
